How Prathmic Pathshala safeguards the personal data of parents, guardians, and young learners.
- Zero Behavioral Tracking: We NEVER profile children for behavioral advertising or commercial targeting.
- Verifiable Consent: Only parents and guardians can authorize the creation of a learner's profile.
- Minimalist Collection: We only store what is strictly necessary to display reading progress and flipbook bookmarks.
- Parental Control: Parents have the absolute right to view, download, correct, or permanently erase their child's account history.

1. Commitment to Family & Child Privacy
At Prathmic Pathshala, we view student privacy as a sacred trust. We are deeply committed to maintaining a safe digital sanctuary for young minds in strict compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 (India) and international child safety standards.
2. Information We Collect
A. Parent / Guardian Account Data
- Full name, verified email address, and mobile number for authentication.
- Encrypted login credentials via secure auth providers (Supabase Auth / Google OAuth).
- Order reference IDs and payment receipt tokens (raw credit card numbers are handled exclusively by RBI-regulated gateways and never stored on our servers).
B. Student Learning Profile Data
- First name or chosen display nickname and grade level.
- Preferred language track (Hindi / English).
- Reading progress, completed flipbooks, and interactive chalkboard quiz scores.
We never collect minor biometric data, Aadhaar details, microphone access without user consent, real-time GPS locations, or browsing habits outside of Prathmic Pathshala.
3. Statutory Mandates for Processing Children's Data (DPDP Act, Sec. 9)
Under Section 9 of the DPDP Act, 2023, data fiduciaries face strict statutory restrictions regarding minors:
- Verifiable Consent: We verify parent identity via registered email or SMS OTP prior to authorizing any student profile.
- Prohibition on Behavioral Tracking: We do NOT deploy behavioral tracking cookies, cross-device trackers, or targeted advertising algorithms directed at children.
- Protection from Detrimental Processing: We do not conduct algorithmic evaluations or content feeds that could adversely impact a child’s mental, emotional, or physical well-being.
4. How We Use Collected Data
Personal data is utilized exclusively for genuine educational purposes:
- Saving student reading positions in interactive flipbooks.
- Synchronizing read-aloud voice highlighting with text.
- Enabling parents to view their child's story completion streaks.
- Sending critical account security notices and service updates to parents.
5. Parental Rights: Access, Correction & Deletion
Parents retain absolute rights over family data under Indian data protection law:
- Right to Review: Review all learning history associated with your child.
- Right to Correction: Update or correct inaccurate learner data directly in your account settings.
- Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): Request the permanent deletion of your child's profile and reading history at any time by emailing info@prathmicpathshala.com. Deletions are executed within 72 business hours.
